
JEE Main 2025 begins tomorrow: Key exam guidelines every student must adhere to

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the second session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025, offering another opportunity for engineering and architecture aspirants across the country.
As one of the most competitive entrance exams in India, JEE Main paves the way for admission to prestigious institutions such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).
With the exam dates approaching, candidates eagerly await the release of their admit cards, particularly for the exams scheduled between April 7 and 9.
The second session of JEE Main 2025 is scheduled to be held on April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9, with the exams being conducted in two shifts:Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PMShift 2: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PMAdmit card and exam day instructionsThe NTA will release admit cards for JEE Main Session 2 on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Candidates are required to download and print their hall tickets well in advance to avoid last-minute issues.Important guidelines for JEE Main 2025To ensure a smooth examination process, NTA has issued specific guidelines that all candidates must follow:Early arrival: Reach the exam center at least two hours before the scheduled time to complete verification and security procedures.Admit card and ID verification: Carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof.
Entry will be denied without these documents.Seating arrangements: Candidates must sit in their designated seats as per their roll numbers.Question paper verification: Ensure that the displayed question paper on the computer screen matches the chosen subject.
Any discrepancies must be reported to the invigilator immediately.Technical assistance: In case of technical issues, candidates should inform the Centre Superintendent or invigilator immediately.No retest policy: NTA will not conduct a re-exam for candidates who miss their scheduled date for any reason.Prohibited items: Electronic devices (phones, calculators, smartwatches), bags, papers, eatables, and metallic items are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.Authenticity of information: Candidates found providing false information to appear in multiple shifts or dates will have their results canceled.Document retention: Retain copies of the admit card, confirmation page, and scorecard, as these will not be available post July 31, 2025.JEE Main session 2: Essential documents to carryCandidates appearing for JEE Main Session 2 must bring the following documents to the exam center:Printed Admit Card along with a Self-Declaration Form (downloaded from the NTA website).One passport-sized photograph (same as uploaded in the online application form).A valid photo ID proof: (School ID, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar, Ration Card, Class XII Board Admit Card, Bank Passbook with photograph)PwD/PwBD certificate (if applicable) as per NTA guidelines.A simple transparent ballpoint pen.
