
Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025: Examination process not complete; two additional free chances for students

BENGALURU: The examination process is not yet complete.
There will be two additional opportunities for students to take the exams, and these will be provided free of charge.
Minister of School Education and Literacy, Madhu Bangarappa, stated on Tuesday that students, regardless of whether they have passed or not, will be allowed to retake the exams.
He further mentioned that the Common Entrance Test (CET) will consider the third examination as well.He further highlighted that, in previous years, students had to pay between ₹270 and ₹400 for re-examinations.
This year, however, no such fees will be charged for the second and third attempts, allowing students to appear for these exams completely free of cost.Additionally, the minister emphasized that the best teachers would be identified to provide coaching and support to students aiming to improve their results.Regarding improvements in exam outcomes, the Chief Minister was briefed in the presence of the Principal Secretary (PS) and Additional Chief Secretary (ACS).
The Chief Minister also stated that no grace marks will be given.Over 50 percent of students, totaling 3,78,625, who took the exams received either a distinction or first-class marks.Zero Pass Percentage in Over 120 CollegesA total of 123 colleges in the state reported a zero percent pass rate.
Of these, 90 were unaided colleges, 20 were aided colleges, 8 were government schools, and 5 were KREIS PU Colleges.The minister acknowledged the performance gap and stated that the issue of zero pass percentages has been ongoing for years.
“We have instructed the Joint Director and Area Directors to visit schools and colleges to identify the underlying issues,” he added.
